anyone get the new Super Chevy with the 69 Reggie Jackson car on the cover? They used the 001 LSX 454ci block in it... MAN.. that engine just brings new meaning to a carbed application... I mean the engine bay still looks oldschool but with new technology.. makes me what to run out and get a 68.. and go carbed LS motor... that car is awesome, i love the valley cover they are using too.
if you havent picked up the magazine yet, do it. Its quite a long article on it.
640hp 611tq as well..

He has tons of Muscle cars and Tri five Chevys, he is also the owner of a 69 Z/28 with one of the ultra rare Hemi headed 302 motors that didnt make production.
If I remember the story right the Z/28 was dominating SCCA in 68/69 and Ford wanted to get back in the game. They started work on what later became the Boss 302. The Chevrolet guys caught wind of this and started work on a Hemi headed 302 with a slight over bore to take full advantage of the SCCA rules. the Boss 302 hit the race tracks before the final developement was finished on the Hemi head conversion. Long story short.. the Z/28 was still dominating over the Boss 302 so the GM brass figured they didnt need sutch an expensive motor when they were still dominating the competition. It motor didnt make production but if I remember correctly seven were built and three made there way into public hands.
Thought a few of you might find that interesting..

It's truly a badass car, but with everything available from the GM "Parts Bin", I can't believe they put a carb. on it. I love almost everything about the car....but it should be fuel injected. After all, this is 2007

got the issue saw the program, cool. I'm using his dash as a model for my 69 LS7 conversion- unfortunately the gauges I want- Autometer SC II, keep getting their release pushed back. BTW it's fuel injected, no funky carb linkage!
