I am building a 427 with ported l92 heads .It has 11.5-1 compression.I want to know if anyone is using an intake elbow on a GMPP carb. intake. I will be spraying the engine with a 200 wet shot. And I want to turn the car about 7000 rpm's. any cam advice would be helpful also.

I am building a 408 L92 motor w/carb intake and 90tb. I will also use one of thier elbows(in the next week or 2) and eventualy run a plate system on it.
I would think that they would flow like crazy and the least restrictive part of the intake, but I could be wrong.
If anyone has any legit #s on what they flow PLEASE post em up.
Been in the garage all night

Hopefully this post makes some sense

just a newb question but why are you pulling the factory fuel injectio in favor of using a carb manafold drilled for injectors, and a throttle body.
Seems like alot of money to spend when the FAST setup can provide good numbers even when using forced induction, no2.
I'm guessing it must make a ton more hp or maybe for drag racing?

They are using a carb manifold with an elbow with a trotlle body at the end of it. They are still running a fuel injected system. The injectors are tapped into the runners. This is mostly a strip setup since so much is lost down low. This is used because the manifold provides less restriction at high RPM
