The intakes were tested on a mild built streetable 412 cid LS2 with our TPiS 1-3/4" headers and TPiS calibration. The test was done back to back on the same day with all variables staying consistent through both tests. The only thing that was changed was the intake manifold itself, and the stock LS2 throttle body was used in both tests . At peak horsepower at 6200 rpm on both configurations, our intake was 43.6 hp bigger and peak torque was 28.1ft/lbs @ 5500 rpm. The torque and horsepower figures are bigger throughtout the entire rpm range. A huge gain.

There is an L92/LS7 version according to the site, with interesting results:

Notice the 6900 RPM power peak, about 600 RPM higher than anything I've seen using an L76. Of course, all hand-fabricated intakes are labor intensive and therefore spendy.

Any dyno charts on the manifold only swap. It would be interesting to see them over-laid. I'm curious what the manifold does with the under the curve numbers.

Kevin,

The little write up listed above is for the LS6 modified intake. The only thing TPIS makes to fit the L92's is the Sheetmetal. The numbers it did on Trail 70's car were really kind of inconclusive. He lost his *** down low, compared to a ported set of LS1's and the TPIS 90mm LS6. Didn't really gain that much on the topend either.

Here is the post he had that told what it made with the old setup on the engine dyno

Gino, Last years 427 had 98 241 heads with 2.1 intake. On the engine dyno with pump gas with 26 of timing it made 647hp 610tq. That was with Tpis modified Ls6 intake and 90mm. throttle body. We also tried the Fast intake with the 90mm. The fast made 4 more hp, but the torque curve was not as good as the tpis intake. We also tried different compression ratios and 3 different cams to get these numbers. I will have new numbers with the L92 heads and this intake within two weeks.
The engine produced 663hp at 6900 rpm and a max torque of 556 ft/lbs at 5900 rpm.
With changing the cam, heads and intake. It is really a crapshoot about what effects any one item had on the power output...

Thanks...I guess I'm going to wait and save for a Wilson Billet.

WKMCD, why don't you just have Beck build you one?

This is a street car. I'd only do it for something that will fit under an MCM hood on a C5 with runners ~7-8 inches long.

I'm sure Beck is more than capable of doing a low profile manifold. Its his specialty. You might give him a call and see what he can do for you. I'm sure he can design something for you that won't kill the torque so that its still fun on the street.
