Default MAP Relocate Kit for FAST 90 Install

Anyone familiar with the FAST 90 install on the LS2, does the MAP relocate kit make the install easier and or is it really required? I have read some posts where guys have pulled the MAP wiring out of the main wiring harness and stretched it to the back of the FAST 90 and then just retaped the wires. I think the MAP relocate kit actually has you tap in a new hole in the front of the FAST 90 in a similar location as the stock LS2 intake and plug the hole in the back. This almost seems more risky in increasing the chances for a vacuum leak plus the relocate kit is like $90. What do you guys think and thanks for any help.

Katech also makes a MAP extension.

Justin/Caspers - Off topic. I have a question about your Fuel Line Tap Schrader Tee. Will it just thread on to the stock fuel rail schrader valve without modification? Also what size thread is the fuel pressure gauge side? I'm looking for an tee that just threads to the stock fuel rail for a fuel pressure gauge, but still has access to a schrader valve.

I think you would be hard pressed to go and find each connector and put something together that nice for $35.

Of course if you don't mind hacking up your car you can use $3 worth the wire and a soldering iron. The harness quality is great and no hacking up your original harness!!!!

It's actually 1 Connector on the back side of the LS1 Harness, near the Crank Position Sensor. I did cut it apart, extended the Wires on that Plug, and moved it up front near the #2 Injector Connector. For a LS2, you are basically goin to do the opposite..

I built my own Harness for my swap.. that's why I say $35 for something you can do your self..
Granted the Average person wouldn't know what to do if told to splice into a Harness and wire it in, so that is why they make the little Extentions there.

My Harness looks Factory, not no Hack Job by far.. trust me.. even with the LS2 Fuel Injector Connectors and the Z06 MAF Connector that I put on it..
