L92 carb intake on a Daily Driver?

I believe he is talking about the Fuel Injected version of the intake which GM sells with the injector bosses pre drilled into the intake, so you don't need to take it to a machine shop or anything. I'm very interested in a set up like this for my LS1.

there will always be heat soak with any alloy intake.
i have had alloy intakes on ls1 cars before, with no power loss of any kind
and thats under a slung fbody cowl and hood which im sure don't circulate
as much air as large engine pu truck.
also the l92 intake is "air gap" design if u will, so that should keep cooler
in theory, also polishing helps it from absorbing some heat

doesnt work with L92 heads... fyi.

I've been running one on my DD 370 truck. Don't understand why you think there might be heat soak issues though really. Intake manifolds have been made from aluminum for many years before they started making them from plastic.
