I am thinking that you are going to have to have BIG cubes (427 +) or 400+ with a monster shot to make those 2 inchers work for you...

George-I hear that you have 2" headers for the C5's now as well. Question-I'm pretty sure the set you made for Jeff(American HP) had a 3" collector-if you made them with a 3.5 collector could you make them with a 3.5" mid pipes to the catback going down to 3" and would it clear the tunnel on a C5? Also could it be made without the X-pipe?

Thanks!

At what point would a 2" header be beneficial? Reading around LG claims that there 1 3/4" headers makes the most power across the board, but most recommend 1 7/8" for 427's. I plan for a cam and maybe some headwork on my LS7 with stock heads.

surely you meant have the turbos feed the blower.... and if you can get 35 pounds of boost from a pair of turbos... is there really need fro the blower, unless you are building an LSx diesel ... the ever elusive LSD engine,

We're running the 1 7/8 to 2 stepped lts. We just went 9.94 on a carb'd 417ci combo on untuned shakedown passes. These headers rock! But... now I want a set of 2" headers

Props to Kooks, awesome quality and superb power.

Okay dragging up an old thread, but at what point are the true 2" headers needed?

LSX 454 with a P/P LS7 top end that will have an occasion hit from a direct port 200 shot on it?

How will they have an effect on the torque curve? Hurt down low but open up the power on the top end? I am wondering if they are worth it with the LS7 intake being a choke point on the opposite end of the spectrum?

1 7/8" or 2"???

Wonder if there is a chance that a stepped 1 7/8" to 2" would be able to squeeze into a 2005 GTO? George?

I would say the 1 7/8 would be plenty.
