Default Another LS7 type intake on the way

Just was looking at a prototype IR intake for LS7 type ports. Looks like fun, and should move some stout air with 2.9 throttleblades!! The main part is mag, with aluminum stacks. So if you have 5 grand laying around.......

Chad,
No hard fast plans, just collecting some parts for inspection. We have baselined a few methanol sprint car 410ci gen 1's in the past.....

A couple more shots mocked up. The Mug root beer is a 20oz, and fits loose!

WOW! The pop in the TB really puts the size of them into perspective. I'd imagine that'd flow a fair amount of air.

How much power do you think that intake will support?

Wow! Now THAT'S an intake that will keep up with the heads! Is this intake going on a Sprint Car?

Thanks for the pics.

Chad, I don't think this intake will be the resriction on whatever engine it ends up on, but I don't know how much power it will support.

Richard, We do have a sprint car that the intake could end up on, but it may only make the dyno testing stage so we can learn. The intake was supplied with the nozzles and barrell valve, so she is ready to swallow some methanol!!

Cool Kurt. I can't wait to see that Sprint Car engine on the dyno. That'll be rather impressive.

Definitely would be GREAT to see some information on the testing you guys do and some dyno video.

Thanks again for the pics. It's nice to see stuff like this.

Kurt,

Are those the injector bosses right under the throttle blade? Why would they need to be that high. Is this something to help with the atomization of the fuel. I am just thinking out loud because all of the other intakes I have seen have the injectors a lot lower (albeit a couple of inches), I am just wondering what this does to the fuel management characteristics.

By the way that thing looks awesome

The only thing I can think of is that it's to recover processing and testing costs along with the low production rate. I think I'd rather sell 150+ at $1500 than 30 at $5000. I agree 100% with you though.

I love the work W2W does, but some times the things they do I just don't get.
