Default LS7 vs L92 interchangeability?

Hi guys,

My first post on here

I’m wondering if an LS7 has the same engine mounts and dimensions as an L92?

The reason for asking is that I’m about to kick off a replica project that will be LS7 powered but I don’t have an LS7 to build the chassis from yet. I do however have access to an L92 crate engine that I could use until I receive the LS7.

So lets say that if I had an L92 chassis with a manual TKO600 transmission could I just drop the LS7 in?

Cheers,
Thomas

I had 6 degrees C this morning so about the same then

I saw an add over at the Corvette forums where they sold the LS7 in crate for $11,300

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...&highlight=ls7

By far the best price I've seen so far.

I'm actually rather ready to order the engine now. But I need a lot of other stuff like the accessory drive with servo pump and alternator, starter, oil tank and oil lines, ECU and accelerator pedal, GM stage 3 cam, titanium retainers, clutch, wheels, Dana 44 axel from a C4, TKO600 transmission, etc etc.
