Here's something funny I noticed...
So the intake has been in Summit's printed catalogs with a ship date for a couple months now, as well as their online catalog. Now, you search for it on Summit's online catalog ("Weiand LS," "ls street warrior," or similar queries), and it no longer appears. However, if you follow the old link posted to the part (or search for it on Google shopping), you get an item called the "Weiand 5000."

A few things to note about this item:
1. N/A price, and can't be added to your cart.
2. No ship date.
3. Can't be "found" in their catalog by searching.

Did Summit give up? Get tired of people getting angry at them for the supplier's BS ship dates? Now if you go to the Jeg's link, it's still saying a 4 week ship date.

I told you guys there is no set date..
My rep laughed when I asked about it,he said quote there on none here and no info as when they are comming....He has no info at all on when and told me the intake had issues with the molding process,I personally think thats a blanket answer and I really believe it never worked....

I still have hope. You can't take that from me. Maybe 5000 is the exact name for this part in the street warrior line. I really hope it does make it though, it'd be a shame to have them go this far and get nothing.

From what the guy at my local parts warehouse says, 5000 is the Weiand part number....they probably picked it so it would be memorable

It has a price ,you can find it in the search,and the new catalog. it also has an esd. Oh,and you can also add it to your cart. I didnt have any problems, Maybe they fixed it.

 

Jeggs says 4/6, Summitt says 4/25, Hinson and Speed Inc say to forget it.
I say if it does not make it by the end of the year, its not coming.

Yes, they fixed it since I posted that. Still, ships in 2 months? I'll take a FAST for an extra $180.

 

I hate to say it but I honestly don't think it's coming either way.
It might be due to the Holley bankruptcy thing.
It might be due to the economy in general (exchange rates with Australia/Starr?)
It might be due to plastic/nylon/sealing/molding process issues.
It might even be due to flow/performance expectations not being thoroughly met...though that Mast Performance engine dyno test did show at least some promising gains on a preproduction unit.
But whatever the reason, it just doesn't look too good this long after the intitial product info was released over 16 months ago.

Well I probably did all you guys a favor by canceling my order for the Weiand and ordering a Fast, Cause with my luck they'll be out before my Fast arrives. Although when I cancelled my order they did say that they had heard that it was still coming, just not any time soon!!

 

Damn size restrictions. I worked on a new gif, and it was too big in its entirety.

Had to clip the size and frames.

This may only make sense to those of you that have seen Harold & Kumar go to White Castle.
