Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Kooks!
Got the 417ci carb'd lsx to the track the other day in "The Kerminator". This was using a BG Race Demon 1000cfm carb, with the factory jetting and modest timing. Saw the MPH go from 132-136 at the track as the rings started to seal up and motor made some extra ponies. Looking to get her on the dyno by Weds. and see what this motor can produce.
Using Kooks 1 7/8" to 2" Stepped Longtube Headers we were able to power this untuned monster to a 9.94 @ 135.93 using a hydraulic roller camshaft. We are going back out this weekend to improve further on those times.
Their header quality is unmatched. When we step the motor up this winter we will be going with a set of 2" competing in the NOPI PRO Street Tire & NMCA Xtreme Street classes.
