the casting number either in the middle of the heads seperated by the two center holes, or preferably, the one cast on the outside valve cover extention boss will tell you what it is.
I cant really make it out, but thats kinda what the number looks like in the pic posted above. judging by the lack of casting flash around the spark plug area, i'd say these castings are probably an earlier (circa '00) casting #317. if you paid around 300$ or less, you'll be able to sell them easily. Thats about the going rate.
#317 - LQ4, LQ9 6.0L this is the only casting number for this head. 210cc intake runners, 72cc chambers, "D" shaped exhaust ports.
#243 The only other 6.0L is the LS2 which has a smaller 64cc chamber, the same 210cc intake runner, also with "D" shaped exhaust ports. this is also commonly known as the LS6 head. This isthe best performance factory head casting. also the most sought after.
#706 - LM7, LR4 5.3L, 4.8L head. This has the smallest combustion chamber at 58cc's and shares the 200cc intake runner of the LS1 head.
#853 - early LS1 castings 64cc chamber, 200cc intake runner, round exhaust ports.
#241 - Late LS1 casting, about 5-10 cfm's more flow than the #853 heads, but share all other traits with their predecesor. (circa 01+) also seems to share the same casting flash by the spark plug holes with other heads after 01.
There are a few more but thats all i can remember off the top. Hope that helps.

they are worth 200-300 tops. You can find these heads for 250 almost every day. Now if the have any upgrades then thats a different story.
you also need 50 posts to put something up for sale or a time limit of being on here.
