this is also very close to what I did on my RX7 I used a 4' pipe and put the LS7 sensor in the pipe making a 104MM MAF.

Here are my results on the dyno you be the judge, I did it for the clean look and wanted a MAF setup with my intake, I like to think it helped out for now untill I get the FAST intake and ported heads.

Custom Comp cam .589/.589 236/236 112LSA
Comp push rods 7.4
Comp 918 springs
SLP DR timing chain
JTR 1 7/8 headers
dual 2.5" exhaust with X pipe into a dual 2.5 Apexi N1
Ported oil pump
stock crank pulley (when dynoed)
LS6 intake
Stock TB polished
4" LS7 maf (104mm) Custom CAI
spec 3 clutch
Fidanza Alum fly wheel

Honestly it dictates quite a few things for the engine to do or not to do. Best safety net on the car as far as I'm concerned. Traver

All this chit chat is great, however why can't TSP let us know when the new MAF will actually be available. I have heard repeatedly, days, just a few more days, what a total crock. This has been going on since before Christmas. For all you guys that keep saying be patient, BS, my car has been down for over 5 weeks only waiting on this fking MAF.

You may have difficulty properly tuning this set-up since the LS7 MAF sensor is very sensitive to it surroundings and was specifically located in the air bridge on the LS7 where it is narrow. Early designs of the airbridge actually show where the MAF was relocated from in order to more accurately register the airflow. You may want to investigate this more.

Interesting, Lingenfelter says it is best that the MAF be > 6" from the TB. Obviously that won't work in many applications.

my car was tuned in hawaii and now i am in Missouri and it the low has been 5 degs for a few days and the high has been in the teens and 20's with no problems and still running strong for 2 years now. Car has been driveen all over too, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas not one problem car still runs and drives like stock and A/F is just right There are other sensors that help with the climate temp change. Hell my friend that lives on in Maine with a 408ci T/A drove from Maine to Miami Fl and back in winter with no problems in winter. When he left it was 15 degs when he got down to Miami it was 78 degs he said car ran fine and A/F stayed good

belive me with my setup is it tuned in right there was 12 hours spent on the tune in my car.

The air has a direct shot to the MAF and the GPS were calulated for the 4" pipe from lingenfelter.

Yep i spoke with LPE and Rick at Synergy and the placement is crucial to its function.

I'm sure your car runs fine, no one is doubting it. But not everyone want a SD tune. THats not a knock on your setup or awesome dead bang tune.

Whats your purpose posting in the thread? What are you trying to do?

It's worth the patience....I know from experiance, it takes a ton of time to develop, produce, & bring to market a new product. We have spent years on some to perfect for the customer. I'm sure the end result will be well worth waiting for.
