Geoff,
That's actually a completely incorrect statement. The fuel delivery system on the dyno was altered in between dyno runs. These changes made a significant change to the fuel monitoring.
I will provide you guys with detailed dyno results with the a/f data when I get back into town. I even have a dyno sheet where the engine went from low 13s air fuel with the 85mm to a 11.5ish a/f with 100mm maf. Even with the engine going way richer it was up over 8hp. The power gains are no doubt attributed to the increase in airflow potential from this sensor.
Common sense would telll everyone here that the extra air flow potential from the larger maf would easily explain the power increases we see here. Don't you figure if the SD tunes gain power from getting rid of the maf restriction that increasing the maf size to larger than the TB size would also cause a power increase?

I'm not trying to get into a pissing contest. I have no dog in this hunt. Based on the information that you guys posted the BSFC was VERY different. Different AFR's can cause power to change. I am just going on the information that you posted.
I have seen MANY cases where a SD tune didn't do a damn thing for power as compared to a MAF tune. Unless the MAF is a restriction (which in my experience is rare unless the motor is VERY serious) I haven't seen much in the way of power from a SD tune or bigger MAF except for changes to the AFR or timing. If you hold the timing and AFR to the EXACT same values for both meters then I will be suprised to see much of a gain.

What would be nice to know is the manifold pressure for each setup, assuming identical ambient pressure and weather conditions for each pull. That will give us some idea if the smaller MAF was a restriction (yeah, I know that the power numbers give us an idea too).

This does not appear to be a dry n02 friendly desgin. It looks like the wires are shrouded by the plastic of the sensor. Am I correct in what I am seeing from the photo?

ya i know, Marry Christmas to all wish all the best. concidering the 100mm MAF for my Solid roller will be a big plus, cause the 75mm MAF is killing the car keeping in mind that i am using 90mm TB and single plane intake. so a large MAF with 4'' air filter will be geat.
but all come to the price. Lingenfelter unit runs for $300 , if the TSP is cheeper and gives the same performance , hell i will go for it right away.

I really want to buy this new MAF from TSP, however they are really making it a tough sell. My car has been down since mid December, all it lacks is a MAF. Is unreasonable for TSP to give us a price and availibility?? Halltech has 103mm MAF's for $199 with clamps and hose, but I'd rather buy the TSP.
