Throwing belts becomes more of an issue if you have a UD pully. The Buick 3.8 factory tensioner unit has the high lips only cost about $13.00 and works with the stock belts. The best thing to do if you are throwing belts is to get a Manual tensioner, end of problem! but they cost a few $.
