If you're asking me, I wound up with a 3" Magnaflow. I don't have a PN, but the car's in the air right now so I could take pics if needed...

(Actually, sometimes it's TOO quiet for me... )

It kinda reminds me of the back of a Chevy Trailblazer. They have a huge canister muffler that hangs down below the bumper. But there's not many options when going with true duals on these F-bodies

How restrictive were they? I'm looking for a way to quiet my car down. Has true duals with sweet thunders.

To be honest with you, I didn't use them long enough to make a pass. Shortly after I had that made, my engine let go. My exhaust was pretty much completely welded up so I had to cut it up to get the motor out. I had a new dual 3" made after I got her all back together. Didn't bother trying to line up the tail sections. I had my guy make a couple of baffles that bolt to a flange on the end of my exhaust pipes. They make the car very very quiet but they are a huge restriction. Can't race with them on as I get severe detonation over 4K RPM.

Mine is over the axle and i have no problems. I have 2 borla bullets on each pipe(1 before the axle and 1 after the axle) and it sounds awesome. Not to loud considering its a L92 408.

if power is a concern but you don't want dumped duals constantly because of drone why not just stick to a 3"ypipe that you can quiet down completely and then run dual cutouts this way you have the best of both worlds all the time whenever you want it...

or is all of this so you can acquire the true dual sound?

This true. There are a few downsides to this approach though. First, open cut outs before the merge is the only way that you will flow as well as a true dual 3". When those cutouts are open, it will be much louder than the dumped exhaust. Unless your cutouts are electric, you won't be able to open them on the fly incase of a chance encounter with the random cobra on the street. Finally for the weight concious drag racer, the true dials are usually lighter when dumped vs a large chambered muffler in the back.
