Default L92 swap into Fbody, Pops when trying to start and no throttle response

Ok first off when you try to start the car it wont fire right away and backfires out the exhaust. When it does start it revs up then idles down. All the cylinders are firing. It throws the 343 Cam sensor code and the tach doesnt work. If you clear the code the tach works for a second then the light comes back on and it quites. If you try to rev it, it will just die out, you cant even touch the pedal without it wanting to die out. I have checked everything and im clueless, this is a buddys car and he put it together. It has a decent size cam in it around the 600s lift. It has the right sprocket and sensor. The only thing I find funky is that when we did the sprocket for the LS2 you have to get the timing cover/cam sensor since we need the 2X cam sensor. Well the timing cover converts to another number now since its been replaced and we find out that the other number is the 4x cam sensor which I thought didnt work?

Edit:Well I flipped the Cam Sensor Wire and the tach works and it starts right up. But it still has absolutely no throttle response, you give it gas all the way real quick it will delay then catch itself and rev up, but if you just give it alittle gas it will pop and die out.

Wow, didn't really even think of that...

Was there a pin out on the harness?

i used a haynes manual from autozone, all the wires are the same except one on the coil packs, you could just walk in there and write it down
