im switch to a 4in single exhaust because of clearence and my body mounted torque arm wont allow my true duals to fit so im not gonna try and hack it up to make it fit

now im looking into mufflers--ive had spintechs forever and really like them but possibly looking into something else as ill give anything a chance. i just dont wanna choke my motor

2nd option but i heard not to do it since i just have long tubes and no cats would be a gmmg, id make my own with 2 medium sized powersticks

3rd option get 2 spintech mufflers and branch the 4in to 2 3in pipes after the axle

other options borla xr-1's but they dont sound that much better then anything ive heard

opinions, sound clips would be nice too thanks

I have heard white mongoose's setup which is a 3" Y to a 4" merge. It then goes to a 4 inch borla XR-1 and a 4" turndown.

His car sounds awesome!

well i thought bout getting some 4in pipe and sending the sound out the back. only thing bout it is, when i first drive it and starting to warm up, sound like a truck with that loud poppy noise. i'm running th350 right now but goin back to 4l60. yea its loud, but i get lots of compliments tho bout how it sounds. they definitely hear ya coming. haha.

oh and my actual muffler is 5" round. the in/out is 4"..

i had just a bullet on my old ls1 i couldnt image a 408 lol

im kinda leaning towards a magna flow now since i can get a 4in inlet and 2 3in outlets and they seem to sound pretty good, i found one way cheaper thens summit 160 shipped for only 118 shipped

ah decisions

you hear a few sound clips that sound good then a few that sound bad

well the bulllet is only like 45 bucks. mine was freee tho. buddy gave it to me. i thought bout going to the magnaflow race muffler(not the bullet). just to get my car a little more quiet.

well i went from a true dual setup with bullets so roughly a lil quieter if not the same

so i dont thinkg the magnafow is gonna quiet it down that much will it? i just dont want one tail pipe it looks dumb to me

I can tell you for sure since I have had both. If you put a y pipe with 4" merge into a 4" bullet and dump it at the axle you will not be able to tell it apart from your duals with bullets. The sound is the same.

they said a magnaflow will be quiet during idle and cruise but wot it will be loud as hell

i could learn to like that the constant loud exhaust no matter what is cool but gets old

When I get my longtubes, whenever that is, I am going to do an ORY with a 4" merge then a 4" bullet dumped.

I've heard good things about hooker maxflows. you can get them with 4'' inlet and outlet. anybody got any sound clips of a 3'' into 4'' merge with a maxflow muffler?
