Default what heads and intake for ls3 418 stroker

i am planning on a 418 in the near future just want some oponions on which heads and intake to go with the heads i have been looking at the ported l92 head from tsp and if i use them i would probably go with a carb style intake with elbow, i have also thought about some trick flow, afr, or etp heads with fast intake or possibly a carb style also what do u guy think i could get the most power out of with i have a 6 speed car i want something that will make results at the track rather than just on a dyno...

any help is appreciated...

Single plane from GM, you can run an elbow w/o modifying the cowl or run a 4150 style TB like accufab, but this will require some cowl cutting. As far as tsp heads, dont know, Ive got their headers (nice). The GMPP cnc are nice also and about 1400.00 assembled.

We have flow tested the PRC L92 heads back to back against the GMPP CNC'd L92 heads. The PRC heads had better flow all the way from .200" lift up to .700" lift. In the mid range (.450"-.600") the PRC's had about 20-25cfm more airflow with the same OE GM valves installed.

Let me know if I can help with anything on your build. We'd be glad to help!

l92 is a great oem budget head, but thats where it ends. For a track head i wouldnt go that route, i would be looking at like the etp 240cc heads and a ported fast for that set up.

The carb intake is nice but not for the rpm range you are looking at reason why i suggested the ported fast. A sheetmetal intake would of course be nice but it is also little more then twice the cost of a fast.

I am going through the same thing right now. I am trying to figure out what intake I want to use on my bild I already have the L92 heads so I am limited on choices as far as intakes. I believe I am either going to go with the gmpp or a becks sheetmetal. BTW firefighting that beck sheetmetal intake of your in the nitrous section = pure sex. LOL

if u got the money to spend on the beck it is prolly the way to go cause they build them for all ur cars specs and u will get the most power possible but i hear they are expensive...
