On a LS2, is a adapter needed to put on a LS6 intake or run a FAST setup instead?

Default On a LS2, is a adapter needed to put on a LS6 intake or run a FAST setup instead?

I just bought a ls6 intake for my ls2, but i did not realize that it cannot fit without an adapter and also the stock ls2 fuel rails and injectors wont work with the ls6 intake either.. is that true? If so, what brand of adapter should i get. Or another alternative i was giving thought of selling the ls6 intake, use the $350 of that sale and put it towards a Fast 90 with injectors/fuel rails especially if its just a couple more hundred dollars.

I have to admit i do not know much about the FAST products so any help is great, my goal with the car is road racing so really i am looking for whats best for this

you might be able to buy the FAST adapter kit and make it work. it costs roughly $70.

the FAST is designed like the LS1/6 intake manifold. the kit thats sold is to adapt the LS2 fuel rail/injectors to the LS1/6 style to fit a FAST. i dont see why it wouldnt work to convert a LS2 rail it to a LS1/6 manifold. wouldnt be a bad investment, cause then if you get the FAST later anyways you already have the adapter kit

thanks, yah i did not know that the adapter will allow the stock ls2 rails/injectors to fit, good to know!

no the ls2 TB wont fit the LS6 intake its a different fitment, but thats fine by me because i want to do away with the drive-by-wire and do the throttle cable for better pedal feel/response.

You can use a FAST intake on a LS2 and RETAIN the stock fuel rail and injectors. It can be done. We did it on my Vette and its worked great.

Does the LS2 rails and injectors have any advantage on the LS1 / LS6 rails and injectors?

Now if i go ahead and use the LS2 rails with the FAST adaptors on my LS6, will the rails end up close enought to modify the LS6 rail covers and still work? So many questions, but i do appreciate the help.
