Default ZR1 blower available separately?

Will GM offer the blower set-up off the ZR1 for purchase on the aftermarket?

So you can buy a C6 coupe and the ZR1 blower, forge it and have a cheap supercar? Doubt it.

Probably cause the manifold design "Might" be able to be utilized on an F-body due to its low height.

Currently, there is no whipple avail, and the KB is still a ways out.

I have actually talked to Whipple a few times and they were a bunch of clowns. The first time I was asking about SBC carburated applications and they could not tell me the dimension from the valley to the carb mounting surface. The second time I was asking about the LSX blowers they show being used on a sand-rail and they could provide ZERO information, just that it was a "tuner" kit. They could not even define "tuner" for me.

I know the Kenne Bell's have a strong Mustang following, and figure they'll have their act together with any GM stuff they'd offer.

But the cleanest of all would proably be the ZR1 setup since it is all OEM GM, but it sounds like aftermarket may be the only way to go.

My sister babysitts for a lady we know that works for GM. She helped design the new ZR1 and is always down in KT working. Shes currently daily driving a blue ZR1 with a car seat up front for her daughter, its funny. She is always driving new sports cars waayy before they are out to buy and its cool, cuz I get to check them out, but back to the point, I can see if she would know anything about that, probably not cuz engineers dont know the business end but I can still see what she says.

All of the parts are in the GM parts catalog for the LS9 blower. They are not available to order yet because of how new the parts are. They will be down the road.

GMPP makes blower addons for the cavalier and cobalt, why not this one? I'd bet they would make it a kit.

Ditto.

The entire accessory drive setup is different for the ZR1, so it would be very impractical (like we ever do anything practical) to retrofit the blower on a non-ZR1 application.
The water pump and balancer are even unique to the ZR1.

Procharger/turbo kit for the win!

I will check into the CTS-V setup tomorrow.

It seems like one big pain in the *** and more trouble than it's worth. The Procharger will do the same job without modification.
