Default L92/ls3 Gurus Help Please

Okay I have a '07 L92 block and I am topping off with LS3 heads off a C6. I will be installing an LG G7X4 camshaft. I spoke to Bobby @ LG and he told me that I needed to achieve a 64 cc combustion chamber. My question is, How much do I need to shave off the heads to achieve 64 cc and will the L92 pistons play a role in this. What kind of performance or tips can anyone give me about this cam. I am attempting a cam only pure track style setup. The vehicle will be running a TH350.

Any good machine shop will be able to check the CC of the combustion chamber when they mill the heads. How much compression do you plan on running?

That's the thing, not really sure what would work best with this cam. Any suggestions. I plan on running n/a with a max effort at the track for the setup. Basically I am shooting for 10's.

I'm not familiar with that camshaft, but I can tell you that piston to valve clearance is going to be at a premium after milling the heads that far. Plan to flycut the pistons.

What are the specs on that cam? Also, is this going to be a stock L92 block or is it getting bored and stroked? What vehicle is the L92 out of originally?

If those pistons are flat top with no valve reliefs then i would be very careful on cam selection.

The L92 is from the Cadillac Escalade, and the pistons are dished, no valve reliefs. LS3 pistons are flattop. I did not get the specs for the cam, they are rather secretive about it and I bought it from someone else. But LG tells me that it is a straight up install and will not have PTV issues.

I know the LS3 vettes are using this as a cam only mod and seeing great results. I guess it will depend on how much of a dish the pistons actually have. If they have enough of a dish I don't see why it wouldn't fit, just based on how the the cam works on the stock LS3 motors.

L92 pistons have 2 - 1.67 cc valve reliefs.(per blueprint)
The L92/LS3 combustion chambers are 68.4cc +-1 cc (per blueprint)
You need to know how far your piston are above the block deck, usually .006-.010
Stock head gaskets are 1.33mm or .052 compressed thickness

This data will help you get to what they want you at for CR. I am guessing they want you at 11:1 cr. After all of this, you still need to double check the piston to valve clearance. You could get thinner head gasket (.030) or take about .022 off the heads to get to 64cc, this all needs to be verified, can't do it on the internet. Ain't this fun.

I think that blueprint is wrong. They are 70-71cc every time we check.

If you look at the plus/minus, it would be almost 70 on the high side. My own personal L92's came in at 68cc's
