From what I've read, all GTOs had the 24x reluctor. But the 06 TBSS LS2 has the 58x. I have not visually confirmed this though.

Some 06 GTOs have 24x and some have 58x. I have heard that if you have a grey wire connected to your crank position sensor then you have a 58x reluctor wheel, if there is a black wire connected then it is a 24x. I don't know if this is 100% true because I have only heard it by word of mouth, so to be sure I would check the actual reluctor wheel itself.

Pretty sure you'll find all GTO's have 24x.
The LS2 engines in the 06 were 05 spec engines.

And it's the colour of the crank sensor you need to look at to tell the difference.

Grey =58x

Black = 24x

You could also count the main harness connectors on the GTO computer.

The E40 used with 24x has 3 main harnesses.

E38 computer used with 58x has only 2.

Indeed guys I have a 24x in my motor. As I go through the rebuilding process there will be a ton of pictures taken. If you need to see anything specific let me know and I'll see what I can do.
