Ok. im looking at this manifold or a ported super vic for a carb deal.
The as cast maniold i have been told needs work...to work. So what needs to be done to get this manifold to out do a ported super vic without going the cnc $2000 doller deal. So

Will the manifold work as Cast...?
Will it out do a super vic with port match only?
will it out do a super vic with hand porting?......cost?

I would go with the as cast with "port match option" version of Cary's intake over a super vic in any configuration. The only reason I'm using that GM intake in the pic above is because I already had it, and modified, before Cary's intakes came out. It was just sitting on the shelf so I put it to use. All future projects when have one of Cary's intakes it I can use it... It's a killer intake!

So a as cast PI manifold with a port match and slight clean up inside will out do a super vic. Im pretty keen to go this way if thats the case!

I can't say this for sure so you should call Cary but I didn't think the as cast was really usable in that state. It really needs a lot taken out it looked like, not just cleaned up. It was cast to be machined. Not cast like other production manifolds that can be used as is.

You're right. I should have said "port match option." It's still not the cost of a full CNC but it works very well.

as cast will not work. The intake is designed to be ported not ran "as is". I recently purchased cary's intake as cast and realized once I recieved it that it has to be ported. I sent it back and cary is porting it out w/hand finish. The cheaper route would be to order with the bottom half ported. It is about half the cost of the full port polish version.

I make the valve covers but I'm not selling them to the general public at this time.

Can anyone tell me injectors that suit this manifold with the rails that are supplied. Are they the standard height, mid size or shorty injectors ?
And also who stocks the accufab TB that will send to australia ?

Standard height ls1 injector with the normal ev1 plug-

the new accufab t/b (which has the bigger base then a dom 4500 tb) will need a spacer rail

if you get stuck and need some specs/pictures pm me as i am in Melbourne Australia

Thanks for that. Was just going to run the 4500 TB to try and keep the height down as much as I can.
