Do you guys think the swoop down type elbow will kill the flow? Say a 105mm type TB on a 105 elbow.
Very few intake elbows maintain the flow, most kill flow. Better bet is to use a top mount air door like an Accufab 4 bbl.

120% agreed Pat. Use a 4" cowl hood and call it a day.

Guys this is a race piece. Theoretically you could put it on a street car, but it's true purpose is for a race car..

If you need this intake, what is a $600 hood compared to a $20k motor??

Everything that comes out that is """RACE ONLY""" always becomes "STREET". That intake is a street piece just as much as it is a race piece to some people. If it can be tuned, its a daily driver piece.

So who sells these taller hoods for Trans Ams, they're ugly, but if its the only way it might have to happen.

VFN has a large hood that may fit that.

That is a sweet piece. If I ever go to a single plane I will just make due with a Super Victor since I have a "Street" car.

Do what you want, but just because you can doesn't always mean you should.

Which would be the best TB for this combo? Carb style of course.. What flange is it? 4150 or 4500?

Also, for the guys who wanted to know the height difference between the 2 intakes, here it is.

From the counter top to carb flange:

Cary's PI LX intake - 7.75"

Victor Jr. - 5"

BUT, Cary's intake will physically sit higher in the car than the measurement I listed because I have heads with extremely high ports. So in reality it will probably sit another 2 inches higher in the car.

Here are the pictures with the new 2000 cfm throttlebody from Wilson Manifolds. The intake is now fully assembled and powder coated, along with the fuel rails. The intake is now on its way to Texas....

A friend told me the Wilson and the Fast are the same piece. Looks to be the case. The Accufab will sit an inch or so lower.
