Loose Valvetrain

Loose Valvetrain
Unfortunately I had one intake side rocker come off and all the rest of the vavletrain loose on one side of the engine. I put everything back together making sure the push rods were not bent. Started it and it made more noise than it did before and once you rev it up a little then back off it blows white smoke.
Ideas?

can you elaborate on this...what exactly came apart?
are you going to replace all the lifters or just the damaged one?
this is my personal opinion, but id say stick to the ls7 lifters...
comp R's are good too, but depending on the application you may need to change your pushrods to shorter ones to achieve the .03 preload they require...

The clip came out of the top of the lifter and beat it down. The one lifter also ripped apart a little by the roller. All needles are in but I need to find the clip that goes on the top. I'm guessing it is in the pan.
After reading here on this board, I'm going to change all the lifters to the LS7 ones or maybe the Comp R's. I was trying to get the Morels but I can't find them anywhere. I think the Comp R's are available so if you recommend them please speak up. Also does someone have a link to them? Or who has info?
I think my push rods were a little long, I remember a 7.400 or something like that.
I also looked at getting the Harland Sharp rockers for my l92 heads. I was going to get the 1.8:1 ones. Then adjust the push rod length. Or do you think I should go with the 1.7:1 version? The lift on my cam is .650.
Thanks for the advise.

Okay I just found out that my lifters are NOT the CTS-VR ones they are the GMPP ones. The GM rep called and said they only way for them do what mine did was for the rockers to be loose (see my original post).
Anyway we are going to replace and install the HS L92 rockers.
