Alright guys, here's the results I have for our LS7. All the numbers I have currently are non weather corrected aside from the last pull I just did today, and the pull with the LG Motorsports exhaust, I have the weather corrected print out for those. I'll ask the customer for the other cover sheets so I can do a more complete break down of the gains.

2008 Chevy Corvette Z06

Stock: 422rwhp/403rwtq

Cam and Headers Only: 517rwhp/467rwtq

Heads: 518rwhp/467rwtq *Note, had 12rwhp gain across the board until 6000rpm, then data logs showed massive intake restriction.

LG Motorsports G2 Cat Back: 545rwhp/491rwtq

FAST 102mm with 102mm TB: 552rwhp/499rwtq

Now the actual weather corrected numbers today where 573.8rwhp and 513.2rwtq. The weather corrected numbers for the Cat Back was 560.xrwhp and 498rwtq. All tests were done on our Mustang MD-1100SE dyno and on the same car.

Tony,

The heads were stock, we sent them to Richard at West Coast Cylinder Heads, where he cleaned up the exhaust porting, milled them, and replaced the valves/valve job.

From the results above it seams one would be better served to just port the factory intake, mill the factory heads, get a cam and a good exhaust. I am disappointed by the minimal gains of the fast intake and ported heads.

Almost 30rwhp/rwtq from a catback swap even with the stock mufflers being high flow units??

It's a matter of deminishing returns. The biggest bang for the buck is the cam and headers. The LS7 intake and LS7 heads are great pieces from the factory, so yes they are hard to beat. Even with the costs of the head work and intake, we're at about $150 per horsepower for those parts, so for the price they are still a good value. Where as the headers and cam with installations is at a $40 per horsepower. The more power you want to make, the more expensive each horsepower is going to cost.

The entire package for this customer, including the twin disc clutch that doesn't even add horespower still netted about 150rwhp gain, naturally aspirated. With the cost figured into it, the package price per horsepower is still a very low $63 per horsepower.

Like I said that was raw data, not SAE weather corrected, I can't remember the exact numbers, that's why I didn't post it, but from my memory, the cat back exhaust picked up 22rwhp. We put the LG Motorsports G2 exhaust on because the car blew out the internals of the factory mufflers, even with the Mild2Wild Switch.
