I'm assuming that your going for 427ci? What are you going to use the car for? Do you think you may want to spray it in the future? How's your budget looking?

Yeah, I was shooting for a 427. Car is a weekend cruiser. Spray may come later but I'd be shooting for N/A primarily. Budget's not a concern.
Some people might complain about the cylinder liners in the LS7 block cracking. But if i remember correctly the people who were having that problem weren't NA. They were either boosting or juicing the **** out of it. If you stay NA or doing go insane with spray on it you should be fine. Im debating on whether to get an LS7 or LS3 block myself, so i have been doing research.
Why settle for a 427 ? The ls3 block is $1400 and the LS7 is $2700.. SO if your going to drop $2700 over $1400 then I would go with a re-sleeved block and have a 460ci you can spray a 200 shot on top of if you need to
Our 460 long block run's mid to low 9's in a 3300 lb car n/a on pump gas

Is the 460 just a longer stroke? The LS7 already has a 4" stroke doesn't it? Is it just a 4.10" stroke to make it the 460?
Are there any differences between the LS3 and the LS7 when dropping into an 02 F-Car? Or is it just the basic LS2 conversion? I thought that the LS7 was more involved for some reason....
We do a 457 with the LS7, clean up the bore and stroke it
It is just as strong as if it was a 427. n/a only application
The 460 is a re-sleeved LS2 that we stroke but due to us being able to control the sleeve length you can run a 200 shot on it.

Between the ls3 and ls7 427s it would be cheaper to build up the ls3.plus with the longer stroke you should make more torque through the whole rpm range. The little bit of hp you would gain using the bigger bore ls7 wouldn't be that significant. Plus the $1300 that you would save could go to other mods or more exotic parts. Just my .02

We can do a 445ci with the LS3 block as well too though
or the 416 is very very stout with the right heads on top. Not everyone is cracking LS7 blocks....and they have the doweled billet main caps. I hit mine every track outing w/ the 180 1st stage and w/ a tighter convertor (3400) was hitting it out the hole. Got another one nearby running 7psi boost and well over 700rwhp w/ the stock internals.
can you PM Me prices on both ls7 short block or long block and ls2 re-sleeved long block please
