Default (l92)aftermarket cam help

Any advise on a cam for me cant do much do to limited funds, but this is what i got... 2008 l92 bone stock just gonna do some long tubes and other lil things but def wanna ddrop in a cam and i would like to drop in something radical sounding that can give me sweet gains and sounds sweet and thats what im lookin for. All advise will be appreciated. I already purchased the cc gen iv ls vvt 275phr-14, at $456 or something.. I was told it wont sond that radical just a good idle lump sound, i would love to drop in something radical but not sure what i can do. If i can get something like i want ill need to sell this cc model. Im new to these motors and to motownmuscle, so if you can help out it will be great. Thanks

You got the largest of the VVT cams from Comp. Being that I have never heard the VVT cammed, I am not sure if it will calm it down at idle, but in a "normal" car, that sized cam would be noticeable, but not crazy. If you plan on keeping the VVT, that might be about as big as you can go otherwise you run into valve to piston clearance issues when timing is constantly changing. If you want to ditch the VVT, you could put a cam in it so big that it would shake the doors off...either way, you are going to need new valve springs.

VVT = Variable Valve Timing and basically the valve timing is constantly changing throughout the RPM range.

DOD = Displacement On Demand - The computer basically shuts down 4 cylinders to be more fuel efficient but directing oil to, or away from the intake lifter. You may or may not have this. Is the area under your intake manifold smooth or have a bunch of bumps all over it?

Like I told you in a PM, the wiring harness is going to be your biggest hurdle. The motor mounts and headers are the easy part!

Lg motorsports g6x3 cam is a badass cam!!!!! IF YOU TAKE OF THE VVT ITS JUST A VALVE COVER AND SOMEOTHER STUF!! IT WILL BE WORTH IT!

Also can you please list them exactly so i can check myself. Also if i do this should i loose the dod as well???????????
