StreetSweeper-HT. Nice lope. Sounds great. Torque all over. 228/232 .612/600 111 With a good tune, will drive almost exactly like stock.

I gained about 40 on my LS2 - I'd recommend the whole kit...last one on the list http://www.flowtechinduction.com/packages.htm

With these motors, you can make aboat load of power, and still get 20+ MPG, keep that in mind (even with a big cam). What I would do is look for a nice set of stock heads (since you said you wanted your stock heads ported) like the 243, have them ported and cleaned up like you want (that way, you have the heads ready to go whenyou tear the motor down ). Because if you tear it down, and THEN send your heads off, you could be without your car for a couple/few weeks while your guy ports your heads
You are gonna be looking for something in the 22x/23x range @ .050 with high .500/low .600 on a 112 LSA. Now, you go with a narrower LSA, like a 110, that is where you are gonna get alot of your "lope" from. but also keep in mind, that cam is probaly not gonna make the BEST AVG power for you, but it will give you teh sound you are looking for, keep that in mind.
Also, keep in mind that the lower you can keep teh lift on teh cam, the more reliability you will have with stock rockers (if you so choose to run them) I know some guys have run mid .600 with success, but the stock rocker was not meant for that, and you will get alot of wear on valve guides and even damage to the tips of your valves. And, the Lift on teh cam has basically no say in how the cam "sounds". It is more in the duration and LSA. So, if you are looking more for reliability, go with a mid .550-.600 lift cam, but of course, if you are gonna run aftermarket rockers, then pretty much whatever you want, for teh most part.

wow that was alot of helpful info... everything you mentioned is wat i am wanting.. if i do do a cam i am gonna upgrade my rockers, pushrods and springs just to freshen the engine up a bit... .550-.600 will give me the best "lope" while gaining some hp to the wheels and keeping reialbility cuz y car is my dd... ? am i on the right track so far? should i upgrade andthing else while i have it torn down?

Well, you kind of misunderstood me, or maybe I was not clear. What I said (or meant) was that the lift of the cam is NOT gonna give you the "sound" you are wanting. You get the "sound" or "lope" from duration and LSA (valve overlap).
Since you are upgrading to a full roller rocker, you can get by with more lift and not worry about wearing out stuff like you would with stock rockers.

Well, since you are replacing the cam, change out teh timing chain, and even the oil pump. On the oil pump, it is still good if you have good oil pressure, but you may have alot of miles on it, and for the money, and since you are there, something to think about anyways (even though you don't have to pull off the oil pump to change out the cam, or teh timing chain for that matter)

Yes, there are a few GTOs running that cam in a LS1, and I have yet to see anyone not love it.

Here's what it sounds like in a LS2
