Forged Piston Recommendations???
Do you have pics of yours? I think we might need to start a new thread for Ross piston LS engines. We seem to be such a minority around here. There might be more Ross guys then we think.
I don't have any pics, but i can get pics tomorrow and post them up. Not to many people are familiar with Ross pistons here, that's why you don't here to much about them. Plus, most of the vendors on here use weisco and diamond. Ross just started making a shelf piston for the ls motor, i believe last year, so that's another reason you don't here about them to often on here. Ross also claims to have the strongest piston design for the ls motor.
For the people that have used Ross pistons for whatever engine, loves em.

Ross pistons are good pistons but they did not have almost anything for LSx stuff and still don't compared to Wiseco and Diamond. They certainly aren't any "better" as they are just a piston company like all others. I talk to them every year at PRI and was always suprised at how far behind they were in the LSx market? I don't think they are "worse or bad" either and they should slowly do more business as they add more LSx pistons to their lineup.
Wiseco and Diamond have already been on the LSx engine practically since day one so they have a tremendous amount more experience right now with this platform. Wisecos also has piston tops that can accomodate virtually all different heads for instance. maybe Ross will do that as well. Wiseco also is much larger than the others and makes it's own forgings and many of the forgings for these other companies.
I think Ross assumed the LSx market would take much longer than it has to get absolutely huge and now is finally going to try and get involved. I am sure it will be good for them but they are not ahead in any area at all after seeing what all these guys offer on a regular basis over the last 10 years for the LSx. Stopping by their areas over the last 6 or 7 years they just now started even seeming interested in the LSx market.

JE also has had precious few LSx pistons and the ones they do have or did were oddballs but I have several customs by them that have run awesome. One is the fastest of it's kind on this site. Maybe they are adding more stuff as well and I haven't seen it?
