Default 440 nitrous

My friend just got his 440 ls7 what size head gaskets should he use. I know stock ls7 gaskets measure 4.150 he is looking to get cometics for alot of nitrous. Is this the best size?

Your friend will need to calculate his compression and order the head gaskets accordingly. I would ASSume he would run a 4.200 Bore x .040 Cometic, but its going to depend on piston configuration/combustion chamber CC/desired compression..

What bore size is the 440 ?

What block?

Cometic makes a 4.185 that is sold through GM Performance Parts for the LSX 6 bolt heads.

The most important thing to calculate is the deck height ! that will impact the actual gasket thickness needed to get the correct quench and not detonation or piston to head contact.
