How far can the stock sleeves be bored for an N/A application and still have plenty of strength?
((can't find this anywhere with the search))

I think the resleeved LS2 is a good bit stronger because of the new Darton sleeves. I think the LS7 stock sleeves are on the weaker side if going spray or FI.
Also, there's something abotu the main caps being stronger on the LS2. Someone will confirm or correct that I'm sure.

So will the pistons with a 4.125 stroke in a stock LS7 block be perfectly supported, as in just as good as 4.1" or 4" stroke support?

The original LS7s have weaker sleeves than a ductile iron aftermarket sleeve like a DARTON or ERL or LA Sleeve etc. and I wouldn't go crazy with them. We have done 4.130-4.140 and had no issues though on them.

Our ERL "Dry Sleeve" sleeving is much cheeper than that. Our Dry Sleeve would only run you 1550.00 to get your LS2 sleeved. This price is with you providing the block and we do have options that you can go with as well. We can add doweled billet main caps, lifter bushings, etc......

Erik, I talked to a guy today who filled two with about 1 1/2" of hardblock. He said that word was the lower part of the sleeves is the weakest and this should stiffen it up a good bit, but you can't do a true fill like the old stuff. I know that Brodix offers a partial fill on their big block aluminum piece, so there must be either a reason or a demand for it...or both. I'm a ways away from my build, I'm gonna try to keep track of these and see how they do.

On old non siamesed stuff they would do it for drag racing but I still don't know how much it is needed if at all on one of these blocks?

He said prior history with this combo indicated weakness in the lower part of the cylinder, possibly related to side loading or something along those lines.
I'm not planning to go over 1000hp with mine and that would be with a couple of stages, I think I'll roll the dice with this one
