Default Fu*k Trees!

I was removing my Intake manifold to change my Port Gaskets, and a fricken leaf falls into one of the head ports. I am at a loss for what to do. I've tried the vacume, and a long screwdriver. It's in the 3rd from the front port, so I can't even get my eyes far enough back to look into it the Head.

Is this going to be a Head pull?

Damn man I'm not sure what your going to have to do. That's about as bad as it gets.

If it makes you feel better I got a new rule in my rule book.

Rule 33. Don't work on cars under trees.

is that vavle closed ???
if its is just take a air hose and spray compressed air into that cylinder and it should blow it out

but make sure to cover the rest of the intake ports when you do this

Its just a leaf, seems like this problem would take care of itself if you just run it. Not like a nut or something that is going to fall in and cause all sorts of damage.

valve open? small enough leaf to have fallen in the chamber? Take out the plug and blow air in.

If the valve is closed you could spray something flammable in there and burn it out.Just not to much to blow **** up.

I didn't even think about pulling the plug. I will try that. It was an old dead crispy leaf. I'm sure it won't cause any catastrophical damage, but I just want it out.

I just got back from sears...let's dance Leaf....

waste of money. If the valve is closed run it. Its a leaf, its gonna burn up and fire out the exhaust the second it starts.

I agree, besides the leaf won that battle. I'm letting nature take it's course on this one.

Thanks,
Chris

lol, wtf is the condition of the leaf have anything to do with it.

if you can't blow it out, you should be able too but if you can't just run it and then replace the spark plug on that cylinder just to be safe.

I saw an old 350 suck a red shop towel thru an intake and spit pieces out the header. It missed a couple of licks but ran fine after. Don't worry about a leaf, it's not an issue.

So, are you a true "shade tree mechanic"?

You're fine with the leaf!
Bad news is when you went to buy the vaccum kit, a squirrel buried a bunch of nuts in the other ports, hehe
