It's kind of curious how you seem fixated on the idea of the dome piston. Seems like you'll be in better shape (and make more power) running a dished piston that'll allow for larger valves and a higher flow.

i run 11.9cr on 93 pump all day, its nice to run on pump, cuz i have alot of friends who are stuck with expensive race gas. Plus they cant drive it on long trips, cuz last i checked there arent any gas stations in md with race gas.
I drive it hard and if i baby it it gets 21+ mpg which is better than my stock truck. Every time i drive it im wot at some point. i havnt had any problems. and no issues being stuck in traffic for 3 hours besids my clutch foot.
It does depend on the car tho if i was running a small non overlaping cam i might have issues. but i am not. If i was running a baby cam (with no overlap) i would probably be stuck with 10.0-11.0
