Default 402 or 416

For my new build, should I go 402 or 416. I'll be useing my Lunati crank and rods. TFS 235's. Will my Fast 92/92 be enought for a 416. Seems like more people build the 402's. Just wanting a few opinions. Track car only.
Thanks George

i vote for the 416,cost is a little more-but really does run better. The bigger cylinder really helps the heads flow

416 and send the heads back to TFS and have them opened up to 235's since this is a track car only.

Which heads? My 215's? Just talk to Mike @ TEA and he said sell my heads and then buy the 235's. Less cost.

i would do the 416ci if you have the cash. the 92/92 will be fine, but i would get it ported by Vengeance.

I'd go 416" if starting from scratch too. I think the 92/92 will be the limiter with those heads. They have very good potential for the money. Also, with those heads I think you'd need the bigger bore shortblock to make it worthwhile.

they would be more than nice, theyd be the ****. the new hotness is the ls3 platform. 408 and 402's are still fantastic setups but the ls3 is considered the "new hottness"

A 416 with the TrickFlow 235's and the right cam should make 550/500 easily.
I'm real close to that with AFR 225's. I say go for it, you won't be sorry,
550/500 N/A in a street car is a ton of fun!

Hey Tim, would you be interested in doing all the machine work and putting my short block together.

How about a L92/LS3 block and a 4.100" stroke crank to make a 427? I saw where Hinson Supercars made 600 rwhp with that shortblock and TFS 235's

Brian, I already have a Lunati 4.00 crank out of my 382. So I'm going to stick to that. But you can take my 215's and hog them out to 235's for free or little of nothing That would really help me out.

Got the LS3 block today, what pistons and rings do I need to use for around 11:5 to 1 compression, with the TFS 235's.
