Default 242/250 Texas speed cam in 418?

Anyone have any live results with this cam in a 418? 242/250 .600"/.600" 114+3

I have a 418 with ported heads and ported intake with 125 NOS.

Never run it yet and wondering if it has to much lift?

242/250 .650"/.650" 114+3 with 1.8 rockers ( i have 1.7 rockers)so closer to .600 lift..

This is going into a offroad buggy that will idle alot and have to run at 1200 RPMs..

Well, running at 1200 RPM's with that duration n cubes, might not be the best. But once revved up a lil, should come alive ! The lift should not be a problem if your valve train can handle it.

I have stainless valves and double springs for .650 lift with shimmed springs for propper seat pressure...

I Got this cam trying to push the power curve up a little since i run 8.20 gearing in the axles.. Thats right i said 8.20 in the axles.. With a billet converter at 2200. 4l80e tranny. FMVB.

I want to rev this motor to 6800 all day but it has to Idle all day also..

I'd go with a custom grind cam instead of an off the shelf cam but that's just my opinion.

Default Camshaft 116-118 Lobe Center "C/L"

This amount of duration/lift should make 600-650 HP.

I have used these values, THOUGH I use a 118 C/L.

The wider Lobe Center will make your Rock Racer have a more even torque curve AND much better throttle control.
The "wide" centerline will also work better with increase compression.

This can be done by Crower Cams, ask for Ramero.
