is sell the 4.125 stroke for $1350.00-why are they more-they are a completely different forging, not just a relucator wheel addition.Just like a ford crank is different than a sbc.

Mainly because they can. An LT1 uses the same crankshaft the old 1960s SBC engines used. They have been produced for decades and there are many different companies that produce them so they have to lower the prices to compete with other companies. The entire LT1 rotating assembly is the same old SBC stuff. LS1's are new. 1997 LS based and newer and share nothing with the old SBC engines. Not as many aftermarket companies make stuff for the LS1s. Its newer and more sought after hence the price hike.

You think $1399 is a lot for a crank. It really is not to bad if you have ever seen the work it takes to make one.

Try a Winberg or Bryant. I have Winberg doing mine right now and let's just say you got off cheap.

BTW those Winberg cranks cost around $3000 for those wondering. Beautiful crankshafts though capable of 10,000 RPM

+ $600 more

They are roughly $3600 for a Billet center weight after balancing. I also opted to get mine micro polished and that is I think $500 more. I will be sure to post up pictures when I get all my stuff.

I'm on here to learn.

Their are a lot of people that know more then me and trust me I only know a little. It just takes time to learn and the only way I learn is to ask questions. I'm just lucky enough to have worked around some of the smartest guys in racing.
