Looks very nice, but a couple or questions. How do these compare to the trick flows? Not trying to start a war but I have seen imprssive numbers and quarter mile times out of the tfs heads and I havent really seen much on these. Also I have a ls2. What would you reccomend? Could these be milled down to about 62cc and still clear the 228/232 streetsweeper ht?

you guys need to lay off the flow numbers kick-flow numbers mean nothing, port cross section and velocity are way more important.I've had heads that flowed great on the bench make no power and ones that flowed like junk make the most.not only that all flow benches are different an d everybody flows heads differently-really hard to compare one head to another on different flow benches using different setups.

4.00" bore PS7 FTW. Will the 2.125in valve option still work on a 4.00" bore?

I understand what you're saying but what should I tell the guy trying to spec me a cam when he specifically asks for those #'s.

I just don't have anyone local w/ a flowbench, any help is appreciated.

Thanks

VA Speed,

if you would have used these heads on the wkmcd 427 build, the results would have been even better?

Guys some of you know this but apparently some of you don't. These are the old ETP heads from Carey that used to whup ***. Search around for ETP dyno's etc... and the info should be there. Due to some bussiness complications ETP shut down but these are Carey's new heads. Over in Gen III I asked Shawn about the improvements to the PI heads and this was Shawns quote:

From Shawn at Va. speed: "Changed the valve cover rail location for rocker clearance, more pushrod clearance.Ports are better".

"the cathedral port stuff is 2650.00 no springs
"

These are a kickass 11* degree head. I had a chance to pick up a used set cheap 3 yrs. ago but being milled to 58cc scared me off. Today I am still kicking myself in the *** for not picking them up. They are the real deal folks....

absolutely-probably another 20hp to be had.the factory gm l92 casting do not let the port designers to put the port in optimum locations, whereas these do.

here are the flow numbers from the 285cc ls7 heads on my sf1020 flow bench no pipe on the exhaust 4.125 bore. These numbers will be much different from a sf600 bench that most people use

0.100 77 65
0.200 160 117
0.300 240 168
0.400 304 210
0.500 345 230
0.600 380 244
0.700 393 253

here are the 275cc catherdral port numbers-the exhaust numbers were for the smaller turbo exhasut port-the std port is the same as the ls7 stuff

.100 76 62
.200 158 114
.300 232 160
.400 295 195
.500 340 225
.600 370 238
.700 378 246

FYI-these heads along with most other great heads are designed and made without the aid of a flowbench-everything is done through computer modeling software-flow numbers do not matter.
