ok so im swapping an LS2 into my Miata... not an LS1 car right? well i have an LS1 Harness, ive been told to look into the Cam Sensor (not crank sensor) to see if they are compatiable, does anyone know if i can use the LS1 harness on an LS2? if not why not if so... awesome saves me 600 bucks!

Yes you can use it. Just extend the wires from the ls1 connector and swap the wire locations of A and C on the connector when you are extending them. You'll also have to relocate the knock sensors so these wires will have to be extended. I think you have to use the ls1 style knock sensors. I was told the pcm won't work with the new style knock sensors. I can't confirm this but didn't feel like spending $160 on connectors to find out. I just used the ls1 knock sensors. I had to use some heat insulation on them, the holes in the block i used put them pretty close to the manifolds.

Map sensor is in a diffrent location, need a harness adaptor to use a ls2 throttle body, the knock sensors are on the side of the block, need an extension harness for that in addition to the cam sensor.
other then those easy fixes, everything else is plug n play.

simple extention of a few wires... no problem! is LS2 tb harness adaptor for the DBW setup? because the harness im getting is a non DBW, ill just use the miata's throttle cable for a "fast" 90mm tb
