Smile Milling ls7 c6z head...Changing pushrods ?

Hey guys,

This forum has been very useful for my c6 z06 build-up ! I now want to mill head, is 0.030'' ok ? What compression should I expect to have and should I change the pushrods ?

Thanks DOHC

Default Engine size and comp calc.

Try this engine calc for comp. Though you'll need to know your actual chamber size to be 100% correct. The cnc'd ls7 heads I got from Richard @ WCCH were 72cc so stock maybe the same as those heads were milled just to clean em up, like maybe .002 > .005.

If your running stock head gaskets, you could go thinner there. SDPC told me for every .009 thinner it raises the comp ratio about .25 . .030 on ls7 heads should be ok.
