Don't waste your money and go guy 2 steel 5/16" rods from Home Depot. Cut them to fit, and they do the same exact thing for about 1/20th of the price.

The JPR cam install tool is for holding the lifters up, while pulling the cam out.

Like was said though, just pick up some 5/16 steel rod, and use those. i want to say they should be a little over 20" each? Also, when i did mine, just so there were no issues, i rounded off the ends of each, so they couldnt scratch anyhthing in there.

Ooops sorry...not familar with jpr or rpj or whatever tool .... I thought he was talking about that overpriced tool to bolt on the cam to install it ... I use metal tubing to hold up the lifers ... there is nothing in there you need to worry about scratching

Buy both the rods, and set them next to your new cam. Cut each rod about 3 inches longer than the camshaft, and you're all set.

+1. i bought 2 5/16ths rods, mine are 24" i went an inch over just to have about 4" stick out so i can grab. There is no point in buying that overpriced tool when those rods keep the lifters in place the same as that tool would
