these lsx are blocks are a pain in the ***. first the main caps were too small now the cam will not turn when installed. he has tried 2 sets of cam bearings, not them. so what now. i wish i would have bought a different block. has anyone had these problems with it

Look who designed it.......the ***** at GM.

And whats really ridiculous......they didn't even fix all the screw-ups after they switched manufacturers.

I'm sorry to say you should have had the cam bores checked. The only option would be to pull it all apart and get it done.

I just got a RHS Block and had everything checked. For the few hundered bucks it will pay off in the long run. I must say The deck, Main and cam bores were all dead on. I did however have the cam opened up to 60MM and the hone redone.

Best of luck with it.

Welcome to the racing industry.

The cam bores have been known to be tight and require a little honing to get them to proper size. If it would have been checked earlier, it could have been done while it was on the line hone and saved some time. Just chalk it up as a learning experience.

The mains are tight on purpose for fitment by the builder, some like low limit, some like high limit, some want something in between. I like the tight mains so I can get what I want, not as fond of the tight cam tunnel......
The most recent block delivered was perfect on the cam tunnel, not helping you I know.
