Does it crank with the clutch in?
Does the motor turn if you push the car while in 4th gear?
Come on you know this...

Wouldn't explain why it shut down, but maybe part of startup: Did your clutch engagement switch come loose?

My guess...

You turned a lifter, wore it into the cam... Locked the cam up, and now the motor wont turn..

Put the car in neutral and put a socket on the crank bolt and see if you can turn the motor over.

Also check for codes ?

trans disconnected, it is the motor i cannot turn it over with a socket on the crank, pulled plugs all gray like it was detonating? had this timing table for five years exactly never detonated at all, pulled one head amd pistons show signs of detonation bad too?i will get pictures tomorrow night when we completly disassemble it,i noticed it was really using oil lately but it wasnt showing it on my plugs or leaking. this is my fault for not paying attention like i always did. SOO what compresion should i go up too?

Well if you were having detonation problems, I would not bump the compression any higher.

BTW, what was your current compression ? Seems odd to have these problems after 5 years of no problems. Did you have any codes, for bad O2 sensor, etc ... that could have changed your fuel mixture (AFR) ?

Hope the block is re-usable.

If you were using/burning oil, how much oil was in your intake? If your PCV was routed back to your intake, oil getting to the combustion chamber is a great way to start some uncontrollable detonation. Don't ask me how I know. I now have two oil catch cans... one has a breather on top.

extreme over-revving. Like shifting from 3rd to 4th, but going into 2nd instead.

Pull the oil filter and cut it open, see if it's full of glitter.
