Question Cam for my 06 C6 A6

Can I get away with a 238/242 on a 112 LSA on my factory conerter? Mods are LG Pro Series longtubes, Random Cats, Fast 90mm Intake, lingenfelter intake, Z06 Bimodal exhaust.

Or do I need to get a 230/242 on a 114 ?

again the car is a LS2 06 Corvette Auto 6spd

I think with either cam your going to want a larger stall in the 3600-4000 range.

thats an LS2, right? 1st, u'll hafta get rid of the 1.85 rockers, all the modern cams need to use 1.7's because of the high lift built into them... but something like a 224/230, to a 228/232, on a 114 or 115 should work with a stock converter...

a guy here has 228/228 112 lsa in his a4 camaro he said that he should hit the gas little bit to move the car, even to choose the gears, first you have to know your cam operating rpm range, I don't know how much the stock stall for the A6,most a4 here always go with 114 lsa with stock TC, next week I'm going to install a 228/228 113 lsa cam with stock stall, a local technician said that the car will move without any problem, hope that help, good luck.

right about the rocker.

Also have a 236/238 on a 112 i think the cams that are in the 220 range is a waste of money on a ls2 with a fast intake.

Just as you stated about it being a waste..... running a 238/242 on a 112 LSA on a factory converter is a waste... You will hate the car from idle, probably to around 3000-3500... Plus the 2.56 gears are worse for that cam... You will damn near have to drive at wot everywhere to just get into an operable power range..... If you drop that cam in without at least a converter, your bottom in will be soggy and you will not be happy.... You'll probably have V6 cars running away from you... you'll probably catch them enventually(if it does not fall on its face, surge,or buck) but by that time, your at another light....ha ha....

Get you a custom converter 3000-3600 stall.... 3000 should be fine

An bro throw some gear in there, at least a 3.42 min
a 3.73 maybe in order..... But a min 3.42,3.55.......

I use Edge Racing Andre for my 9.5" stalls... Drive like stockers but haul azz like a pig with hot water thrown on em.......

6l80e internal gear ratios are pretty close compared to the 4L line of trannys so a 3.42 is probably best

you will pretty much need a converter for a cam bigger than a 224 , only converter i would trust in my vehicle is one made by yank or circle D, period.

if i were you i would put some gears and a converter in there first, oh and ditch the 1.85 rockers!
