Zero oil pressure 2010 Camaro
Was driving.... Stopped for about 1 hour. Go out to start and no oil pressure at all! Gage reads 0 and engine started to rattle bad. No issues before at all.
Any ideas before I start to take it apart?
Thanks.
I have the pump off now. I can see the pressure relief valve was jammed. Tight to move had to really pry it out. Only thing is it was jammed in the pressure position when I checked it. But it was none the less stuck. HARD.
Motor holds pressure when I put air to the oil inlet of the block. So must be the pump.
I will upgrade to a Melling std volume high pressure pump. Just have to find a dealer that has one.
Time for a LS2 chain too......
Were you thinkin about puttin it back to stock and taking it back to the dealer? Thank God they moved the oil pump to the front of the engine. I dread thinkin about dealing with the pump in my 98 jeep 5.9.
Time for a bigger bump stick neway. GL
So the first thing I would do is check the sender and the wire to see if it came unplugged.
This is why I like a mech gauge somewhere on the engine..

Moroso also has a real nice pump.
