Anyone ever ran AFR 205's on a 402 or bigger? I'm trying to stay as close to stock drive ability as possible and have a set of 205's off my 383 I might use.

I know a couple people that have done that. it was a real bottom end/mid range type setup, made a ton of power down low but it was choked off by about 6500 rpm, and they tried a bunch of different cams. The heads just didn't have enough flow to support the big power #'s that you see with some of the larger runner heads.

If you're looking for stockish drivability, it will work. Just don't expect the highest peak #'s out there. As long as you're o.k with that it will be fine.

Thanks for the input but I went this route because I was fed up with the cam I had and wanted to make enough of a change to ensure the driveability was improved. Actually the car has alot more potential in this cam as it has a very conservative tune in it now. Additionally with this cam TQ and HP increased at tip in all the way to 4200 RPM which is far more conducive to the type of driving I am now doing.
