10 degree valve locks for a 8mm valve stem
I'm currently building a solid roller Ls motor for bracket racing and I've ran into a little snag. I have PAC 1225 valve springs and PAC R505 10 degree titanium retainers. The installed height of the springs and valvetrain geometry is perfect, but the locks are loose in the retainers. To explain, it would be like putting a 7 degree lock into a 10 degree retainer. My machinest took a regular sbc valve with a 10 degree lock and it seated into the PAC retainer perfectly. The locks I currently have are REV VL900 which are supposed to be 10 degree locks for a 8mm valve. Should I try the comp cams 632-16 10 degree valve locks instead? Has anyone had this problem?

The Comp Cams 632-16 locks didn't fit my 8mm REV valves or any other LS valves in the shop Friday. Sending my REV locks and valves along with my PAC 10 degree retainers to REV for to find the problem.
