Default New 418 is alive :)

First the clip, then the run down: http://73-ls1.com/63truck/fire_up_exsmall.wmv

11.1-1cr
AFR 225 72cc heads with light weight intake valves
Custom 245/260 106/109 .644/.629
CTS-V lifters
Super Vic Intake
NX 2 stage plate
4150 to dominator adapter
Dominator TB
Edelbrock 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 HVMC headers (These need to get swaped out)
Dual Electric cut outs
EWP
Under Drive Pulley
No Accessories

The little 347 that was in it before was dressed the same but ran a set of stock casting heads with a Trex, simliar compression. Went: 11.45 @ 118.6 NA with a 1.60 60'
Went time in sig on a 100 hit with a 1.677 60'

I'm hoping the new motor lays down similar ET to the old motor on the 100 hit..

Thumbs up

Congrats on getting the new motor done. That is choppy, but sounds nice.

That sounds great. If it runs half as good as it sounds, you'll hit your goals for sure.

Funny thing is the cut outs are closed except for the last 5 seconds of the video. That is through dual 2.5" turbo mufflers. The 347 Trex combo didn't even sound that ratty..

Very similar to my 415 setup. Who tuned it for you? I couldn't download the video because I'm at work and of course it's blocked. I will have to download it tonight.

I just watched the video this morning. Sounds freakin nasty. Did you notice any difference switching from the 4150 to 4500 throttle body?

Never had a 4150 on it, it's always had a 4500. The little 347 wore the same external parts. I did switch from an LS6 to the current Super Vic / 4150 to 4500 adapter and Dominator TB. Here is a link to the dyno overlay: https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...7-results.html

Even though there was a slight loss in TQ from the Super Vic, the gears made up the difference. LS6 and 3.73's best 60' was a 1.67 (11.96@113). Super Vic and the 4.56's went 1.59 (11.45@118.6). That's with a 30" tall DR.

It's gonna depend on your valve events (Cam Shaft).. Most likely you will be ok with pump gas.
