I run the 6.0 LS2 aluminum block, 4.30 bore & 4.100 stroke =418cid. I been running this motor for over five years now. And still runs grate, and with nitrous. times in my sig. from a few weeks ago. and i shift at 7400 rpm.

Yes they are fly cut , The pistons are a custom forged pistons from ROSS .I had them custom made. They had never made this cubic inch & stroke combo before. That was five years ago thow.

What would be a, "small nitrous" amount? I've spoken with a couple people about that and have received very different answers.

Right now i run a LS2 4.30 bore and run a 250 shot , and it been on nitrous for five years now and steal run grate. You can see in my sig. what the motor has in it, Im starting a new build with the LS3 with a 4.80 bore and going the run a 250 shot on it also.

6.0 iron block 4.065-4.080" (LQ4/LQ9/LY6)
for power adder I generally keep 6.0 iron blocks to 4.030"
odd thing I see, the 6.0 blocks with cracked bores are mostly short head bolt versions, not saying it happens to all 2004+ blocks seen atleast 5 newer style iron blocks with cracked bores.

We have 427 iron short block packages. http://www.schwankeshortblocks.com/shopping/?ic=1216
4.065 bore x 4.125 stroke. We did have one 4.080" bore in a race car a while back. I think the solid roller valvetrain broke halfway through the season, but the bores were fine.
As was stated, any boost or heavier dose, over 150, go with the 4.030 bore.

I think were going to go with a 408 and a 250 shot (its going to be carbrated). What would be a good head cnc'd l92s?

its not odd, Eagle used to make a 3.9 crank, I think only K1 makes a 3.9 crank other then callies magnum 3.9
Our 390ci engine uses a 3.825" stroke, you end up with a better piston overall by using shorter stroke.
