Default L-92 vs LS-3 pistons

Same bore and stroke but huge difference in price.Both are not forged.Anyone know why the price is so different?

L92 pistons have reliefs for the valves so there isnt PTV issues with VVT

im still trying to figure out if it was going to be more for the pistons with valve reliefs or more for the corvette tax

To my knowledge there is nothing inherently better about the LS3 piston vs the L92 piston in terms of material or strength. GM does funny things with pricing parts that makes little to no sense. For instance I've read that its now cheaper to buy LS3 heads assembled than it is to buy L92 heads even though LS3 heads come with better valve springs. Odd

Default L-92 heads

Thats true scoogin dickey has complete ls-3 heads for 375 each.Good valves and springs!
